What's our brain doing as we learn?

How we process and learn new information is really complex. In the video, I break down what the brain does with the information. It is essential for an instructional designer to recognize that memory is affected by how the material is presented so they can develop more engaging and effective learning experiences.

With so much information bombarding our senses, it is a challenge to produce training that moves past sensory memory. When learners focus, it increases their chance of remembering material, which means it moves to long-term memory to be recalled when needed.
