01
Sandra Boynton
Sandra Boynton is a brilliant author/illustrator. We will practice drawing a whimsical chicken with pencils inspired by Boynton's characters.
02 Pablo Picasso
Pablo Picasso consistently evolved as an artist. This lesson will center on Picasso's Cubist phase, where shapes are broken apart by adding lines to create new spaces for color.

03 Georgia O'Keeffe
Georgia O'Keeffe was an American artist who painted nature in a way that showed how it made her feel. She is best known for her paintings of flowers and desert landscapes.
We will be using watercolors to paint a close-up of a flower to celebrate some of O'Keeffe's most famous paintings.
06 The Wave
We will compare how six different artists captured the sea in their paintings. By changing the sky, the perspective, and the size of the waves, the artists set the mood for the viewers. We will then explore warm versus cool colors in a watercolor painting and apply salt to create a chemical reaction that adds a beautiful movement of color.
